Dear Academic colleagues,

The University is preparing for Brexit-related problems, including effects on the supply chain.

As you see from the email below, we have been asked to compile a list of suppliers that we have contracted, which are critical to service delivery and which have not been procured by the Procurement Team.

Please get back to me by Friday 1st Feb so I can return the list on time.

Further details are below. Please direct enquiries to Procurement Services ext.2221 (not me!).

Thanks,

Gabrielle

Dear Colleagues,

As part of the University's business continuity planning for Brexit, the Procurement Team is undertaking an assessment of the possible impacts/risks of a hard Brexit on the University's suppliers and supply chain.

This assessment is considering financial and service delivery risks and is based on all known contracts across the University - i.e. procurements undertaken by the Procurement Team on behalf of Faculties, Academic Departments/Schools and PS Directorates. In order to ensure we include all appropriate suppliers in this assessment I should be grateful if you would confirm the name (s) of any suppliers under contract in your area that you consider to be critical to service delivery and which have not been procured via the Procurement Team.

Whilst the University Procurement Team may not be able to resolve risks to the supply chain we hope to be able to identify high risk areas, to facilitate Faculty, Departmental/School and Directorate planning and consideration of any possible mitigation measures.

Any feedback you can provide by Monday 4 February would be much appreciated. To help ensure the task is manageable, I suggest that each Department/School provides a maximum of 5 suppliers. To assist in this, please find below the criteria being used in our business continuity planning.

If you have any enquiries please contact Procurement Services on extn 2221.

Best wishes,

Veena
