[Academic] TESTA

Dear All,

The department will undergo its next Quinquennial Review in October 2019. As part of this process the department is required to evaluate and reflect on its assessment and feedback processes. This is done through the Transforming the Experience of Students Through Assessment (TESTA) scheme (see the attachment), which is lead by Alex Buckley, Senior Learning Enhancement Adviser. Alex has already collected data from the students in department and he will be holding a  TESTA workshop on 10th May, 9:30 – 11:30am to report on his finding and to lead a discussion on ways in which we can improve our assessment and feedback processes.  All staff involved in teaching, who are not invigilating on that day, are required to attend this workshop. Gabrielle will be sending out a meeting notification shortly.

The Quinquennial Review Team will receive a copy of the report produced by Alex and may well ask how the department is implementing any recommendations arising from the report.
