Dear All,

Following on from Nigel's email below, I would like to add my thanks to colleagues who have already volunteered and encourage others to come forward to assist at the Open Day on Monday 2nd September. This is an important citizenship activity that helps the Department attract students and meet it's intake targets.

We need six volunteers to look after the stand, with opportunities to do shifts (10 - 11:30, 11:30 - 13:30, 13:30 - 15:00) so that it is not a large time commitment. We also need a guide to take visitors round the teaching labs after the talks, which means 30 minutes from 10:45 - 11:15 and 12:15 - 12:45.

Engaging with potential new students is a positive, important and enjoyable experience. Please get involved and speak to Nigel if you would like to find out more. Thanks

Regards,
Paul

Dear All,

Thanks to those who have volunteered to help out on the Open Day next Monday. I will circulate a schedule and helpful information towards the end of the week. I am short of volunteers and need a few more people to help out, especially as I may be tied up with jury duty that day.

Nigel
