Hi Everyone,

Please just hit delete if you already know how to upload marks to Myplace.

In the Navigation bar on Myplace (on the left of the screen) for your
class there is a link to 'Grades' so click that.

Under 'Administration' (bottom left of the screen) you will see a link
that says 'Import', click that.

Do not click the obvious sub-menu import button (csv file), but instead
click 'Strath Import' maybe this is part of our branding?

Make a csv file (it's e.g. an Excel export option) with two columns,
left column student Registration number (with something like that as the
header label), right column with grades (with the column label you want
to appear as the grade label in Myplace). Attached is an example csv
where I have used 'Reg #' and 'T2' (for Tutorial 2, but takes less
column space in Myplace) as header labels, and replaced real student
numbers with fake ones.

Drag and drop the csv file into the 'File' window, that appears under
Strath Import on Myplace, but you don't need to change the other default
settings.

Click 'upload grades'.

There are two sections now, "Identify user by" which by default will be
the column one label e.g. 'Reg #', so leave that.

In the section "Grade item mappings" leave the left column label at the
default option, and instead with the right column label, e.g. 'T2', use
the pull-down menu to  change 'ignore item' to 'new grade item'.

Click 'upload grades' again, and that should be you sorted (with the
caveat for e.g. the new assessment MCQ results that some students will
enter their own student number wrong so it won't work until you correct
the offending student numbers).

Best wishes and happy Myplacing,

Aidan
