[Academic] Request: Research News Items

Just a reminder that we are on the constant lookout for contributions to the Research News pages. This helps ensure that our publicly facing profile reflects our research excellence.

Examples of news items include (but are restricted to): High profile papers and results, new research projects and funding, distinguished visitors, major research visits, scientific awards and honours, and public engagement activities (events, articles). See https://www.strath.ac.uk/science/physics/news/ for examples.

News items do not need to be long, should be targeted at the general public, and a picture or two also would help brighten things up. I'm happy to discuss any ideas or suggestions for news items.
