Dear Colleagues,
As we start looking forward to returning to work I am writing to encourage you to apply for International Research grants.
There are a number of international funding opportunities available and to help you to navigate these colleagues in RKES will be running series of “roadshows” via zoom.
To help us to tailor this to your needs, let us know which areas you are interested in – both geographic and themes - you may have collaborations you wish to develop.

Horizon 2020
Number of applications and success is down
Highlight to staff that Horizon 2020 is still open for applications until 31st December 2020
Upcoming calls here<https://moss.strath.ac.uk/rkesportal/Research/funding/horizon2020/Horizon%202020/H2020%20Deadlines%202020_2021.pdf> and we would like to highlight the following –
Rapid Societal Challenge 1 Call on Covid-19 - opens 12th May 2020 for 4 weeks
EU Energy Focus – deadline 1st September 2020
Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA) fellowships – deadline 9th September 2020
MSCA Cofund – deadline 9th September
Fast Track to Innovations – deadline 9th June and 27th October 2020

Potential partners can be reassured that Strathclyde is still an eligible and attractive partner for Horizon 2020 and a factsheet is available to explain this.
Katie Robinson, Martin Gregory and Emma Wing can signpost the support available for these calls.

European Research Council
We would like to encourage candidates to apply for Advanced Grants from the European Research Council - deadline August 2020
