Dear All,
We need to get tutorial and laboratory assistants arranged for the start
of the new Semester 1. Clearly, we will need a different process this
year. It will need a little more input from individual course
organisers/lecturers to work efficiently and I am sure academics will
realise the pressures on everyone, so please try not to be too
restrictive in allowing your research staff and/or PhD students to
contribute. Research staff should be used where possible.
We have set up an online spreadsheet giving a snap-shot from both Sem 1
and Sem 2 of last year of staff/students undertaking assistant duties:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1B9qSMpKQStUJDIT3UsXaUiofXlUkbpowXADtWIRCItU/edit?usp=sharing
Could you please make your own arrangements where possible to arrange
your tutorial/lab assistants for the new Semester 1 *only *(Semester 2
assistants are included as the latest cohort which may be useful). Where
you know of a suitable assistant, can you please seek agreement with
them, and if they are from another Group, their line manager - /This is
where collegiate assistance and understanding would be appreciated!/
You will see that assistants are colour-coded according to their status
as Academic, PDRA or PhD. Please use this when editing the spreadsheet
to enter the new assistants. Please delete those that have moved on or
are no longer availible (Please see entry for PH387 as an example.)
There is also a colour coded 'traffic light' column to indicate if the
assistants are agreed (green); being arranged (orange); or there is a
problem (red). This will allow us to identify where assistance is needed.
Thanks for your understanding and assistance.
Regards,
Brian.
