Dear All,

I am supervising a 4th year project aiming to analyze the automatic captioning software used by Zoom
and Microsoft Stream, more specifically the errors that are made by the software. Given the
importance of automatic captioning for the university, this project has been included in the evaluation
of Stream by the Programme Management Office (PMO) in Information Services.

In order to determine the cause of the errors (be it unusual scientific words or accents),
we would like you to provide some transcripts of your lectures/tutorials.
Volunteers will then read out loud these transcripts, producing automatic captions that
the student will analyze.

If you can help, please email your transcripts at stuart.melville.2017 at uni.strath.ac.uk<mailto:stuart.melville.2017 at uni.strath.ac.uk>
Many thanks
Francesco
