[Academic] PH 550 / PH 570 Vivas

Dear All,

Please see below a copy of an email I have sent to students regarding PH 550/570 vivas. I have attached the latest version of the timetable that was released to the students today.


Dear All,

The viva times for PH 550/ PH 570 have been posted on MyPlace. The vivas will be carried out over Zoom, details of the Zoom link and password for your viva are included on the timetable.

The vivas will last for 45 minutes and will start at 10 minutes past the hour, the Zoom links are scheduled on the hour so that the viva team can prepare. You will have 5 minutes to introduce the work you have done over this semester on your project and then have 40 minutes to discuss your work with the viva team. You will be able to reference your submitted paper and where necessary refer to results not presented in your report, if the results support an argument you are making.

If you cannot make the scheduled time then please let me know.

For those students with vivas on 13 - 15 January 2021 the final mark will be released on or before 29th January.

I will circulate the draft reports later today. Please ensure that you give the students feedback by 18th December.
