Dear Colleagues,
The end of the year is the final date for research outputs to enable them to count for REF 2021. If you have any output that is published online by a journal before 31st December it can count for the REF. At this stage we are particularly looking for anything published in a high impact journal or anything that you think might be more highly rated by the REF panel than other outputs that you have already proposed.
As before, the procedure for you is that you go on to Pure and propose the new output for REF 2021. The Departmental and University REF teams will then examine the output to determine whether it could improve our output profile, within the constraints of the REF rules.
There will be a very short period after the holidays in which to change the Department’s output list. Don’t hang around.
All the Best
John
