To PH450 Supervisors:
The First Report Deadline has been extended for all students until the 18th January 2021 to allow further time for feedback to be given on drafts. It is suggested that students give at least a week of lead-time for feedback, please try to respond within 2 days so that they may have time to revise their drafts accordingly. You may want to agree on a schedule taking into account particular circumstances and plans for the vacation.
I append below the message sent to students.
Daniel

Subject: PH450 Updates, First Report Extension
The due date for the First Report has been extended to Noon 18th January 2021. This will allow more time for Supervisors to provide feedback on drafts and for students to incorporate these into the final submission.
Students are encouraged to provide any material for feedback to Supervisors will adequate lead-time taking into account the time required to read, formulate comments, and return these prior to revision (possibly substantial) and submission. Allow at least a week for this process.
A reminder that Supervisors are not expected to rewrite reports or enter into an iterative cycle of revision. They may provide general advice as to the form, format, content, and structure of your drafts.
The MyPlace page has been updated with revised instructions for the First Report (v2.0) and preliminary information on the Presentations, Second Report, and the Viva.
