Dear All,
Please find attached a communication sent out yesterday to all students
regarding Semester 2 teaching. Summarising requirements for each module:
1) All lecture and tutorial material will be made available online
through MyPlace. Material may be delivered synchronously or
asynchronously but must contain narrated lecture slides, a transcript of
material and a link to the Zoom recording of the live
lectures/tutorials. It is important that in the live Zoom recorded
sessions, staff engage with the students in discussions, Q&As, polls
etc, rather than have students working quietly on their own.
2) Continuous Assessments and examinations should also be prepared for
use on MyPlace. CA's may range from MyPlace quizes to the simple upload
of an essay. Details for Exams will follow shortly.
3) Normal module timetables should be used.
While the information to students is that there may be changes to
accommodate some on-campus activity as conditions allow, we must assume
that everything will be online in Semester 2 and prepare for this as above.
A Zoom discussion and demonstrations of lessons learned from Semester 1
teaching (including e.g. details of how to get Zoom material onto
MyPlace) is available at:

Further information and useful help is available on the Physics
Playground on your main MyPlace page:

Regards,
Brian.
