Dear All,
As our submission to REF2021 is completed today, I would like to take
the opportunity, on behalf of the Department, to thank everyone who has
contributed.
Special thanks to John Jeffers for leading our overall preparations
(again!) and for his substantial work on all aspects of the submission,
including the environment statement, and managing the internal
assessment and selection of our outputs.
Thanks to Alan Kemp for leading on the preparation of our Impact cases.
A lot of work has gone into the development of these over a sustained
period and Alan has both coordinated this and contributed substantially
to two of our cases. Thanks also to Nigel Langford, David Birch, Martin
Dawson, Ian Watson and other colleagues (and collaborators, e.g. the
Fraunhofer-CAP team) involved for their sustained work on our various
case studies.
Thanks also to Rob Martin, Gail McConnell, Michael Strain, Jeremy Ward
and other colleagues who contributed substantially in various ways
throughout the preparations, and to everyone who responded to the
numerous requests for information and input.
It has been a long process (extended due to COVID), but we have put
together the best possible submission. We can discuss further at the
next Department Committee meeting.
Thanks
Paul
