Dear All,
There have been a couple of issues with the Myplace assessments that
have caused some problems/issues in the ongoing Myplace assessments.
These have arisen as the guidance referred to below has not been followed.
1) Students have been informed (see attached) and are expecting that the
extra 30min upload facility is to allow upload of working to numerical
calculations so that partial credit may be awarded - see also the exam
template on the Physics Playground
(https://classes.myplace.strath.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=25066), *PHXXX
Written Assessment section: 10.00 am Date* toggle, final bullet point.
Other instructions create student uncertainty and confusion.
2) Instructions on how to print off their questions to pdf (this
requires all questions to be on one myplace quiz page - see previous
instructions) and to regularly save their working as they complete the
assessment have not been communicated in some cases - again, see the
above exam template on the Physics Playground.
So, read the guidleines, follow the template (this is what the students
are expecting) and save yourself some hassle during and after the
assessment.
Thanks,
Brian.
