[Academic] Careers Service Warning - scam job opportunities

Message for Academic Staff:


The University is seeing an increase in scam emails promoting job opportunities which turn out to be fake and are phishing for student/graduate personal details.  There is even a case of a graduate being offering a fake job interview via Linked in.



Employers often directly email the faculties or departments to promote their job opportunities, and the Careers Service is more than happy to look over any emails to check if the vacancies are genuine.



Rather than passing on the emails directly to students, please forward any emails to employers at strath.ac.uk<mailto:employers at strath.ac.uk>
