Dear All,

I have not yet received any responses to the request for assistance for
the module described below.

Can you please note that this is an increasingly important area of
teaching and research and the students recognise this with the
increasing numbers wanting to study this module. This module describes
to students a multi-themed approach to tackling, inter-alia, the climate
crisis that we are now being forced to address e.g. via the COP-26
conference being held in Glasgow this November.  Physics has a
potentially huge input into solutions that can help tackle the crisis.
For example, think of fusion power generation via tokamaks or lasers.
Think of increasing the efficiency of solar cells via solid state
research. Such fundamental areas of physics research need to be
represented as essential ways forward to students.

This is an increasing area of interest to students and research funding
agencies. We must get further involved. So please get back with offers
or suggestions of teaching support for this module.

Thanks,

Brian.
