[Academic] SCOPE Event

The event will be held at the Union and will have an hour of short presentation from some exciting speakers and societies along the theme of a PhD Survival Guide (see the advertisement below), followed by a social in the same venue! There will also be a live stream of the event for those who prefer.

SCOPE is the Strathclyde Community for Optics, Physics and Engineering and our hope is to connect PGRs across departments! We typically host socials, sports events, company visits, outreach activities and guest speakers, so please keep in touch and follow us on twitter @scope_strath.

Please note: we encourage academics to attend after the ticketed talks (7pm) to socialise with the new students!

Covid precautions will be in place, we encourage mask-wearing while seated for the talks and there will be track and trace for the event. We also ask that a lateral flow test is taken within 24 hours before the event, if positive we kindly ask to give up your space.
