We recently received our allocation of SRSS studentships from the
University, consisting of Research Excellence Awards (REAs) which have
been distributed to groups and Student Excellence Awards (SEAs), which
require a named, high-quality candidate.
The SEA studentships have a final application deadline of 9th March
2022, but there is also an early deadline of 15th Dec to allow awards to
be made to top candidates as early as possible.
If you have a strong PhD candidate already lined up and would be
interested in making a SEA application before the early deadline, please
get in touch with me. The contribution to the studentship from the
supervisor/group is expected to be £14,500.
The studentships will cover a home fee and stipend for 3.5 years. 30% of
the university's studentship allocation can be used for EU/international
students, but the difference between the home fee (~£5K p.a.) and
international fee (~£15K p.a.) will have to be found from another source.
