Dear All,

Thank you all very much for your support of our students in these very
challenging times.

This is just a quick heads up to let you know that we would like
everyone to try to have a short meeting with each of their PDA students
individually by the end of January 2022. The main purpose of this
meeting will be to check on their progress in semester 1 and identify if
any support measures should be put in place. We will not require any
forms to be completed, but please let the year adviser know if you are
unable to engage with your student.

As John has already mentioned, please ensure that you have an
out-of-office message on whenever you are unavailable. A short version
is below:
--------------------------
The University is closed until 10th January 2022 and I will aim to
respond to your e-mail within a few days after this.

If you need urgent support please contact:
·        Campus Security: 0141 548 3333
·        NHS 24 on 111 for Health Information and Self Care Advice
·        Samaritans Glasgow 116 123 or email jo at samaritans.org.
·        Breathing Space 0800 83 85 87 (All weekend and Monday to Friday
6pm - 2am)

Additional support resources can be found in the student support section
on the Physics MyPlace PDP page
<https://classes.myplace.strath.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=25509>.
--------------------------

I hope that you all have a very peaceful and enjoyable winter break.

Thanks again for all your help.

Best wishes,

Alison
