We recently received our allocation of SRSS studentships from the University, consisting of Research Excellence Awards (REAs) which are being distributed to research groups and Student Excellence Awards (SEAs), which require a named, high-quality candidate.
The SEA studentships have a final application deadline of 2nd March 2023, but there is also an early deadline of 13th Dec to allow awards to be made to top candidates as early as possible.
If you have a strong PhD candidate already lined up and would be interested in making a SEA application before the early deadline, please get in touch. The contribution to the studentship from the supervisor/group is expected to be *£5K p.a.*
Our SEA studentship allocation this year includes both EPSRC-funded and University funded studentships :
EPSRC studentships :
* will cover a home fee and stipend for 3.5 years.
* 30% of the university's EPSRC studentship allocation can be used for EU/international students, but the difference between the home fee (~£5K p.a.) and international fee (~£24K p.a.) will have to be found from another source e.g. a differential fee scholarship (see email attached)
University studentships :
* will cover a home fee and stipend for 3 years.
* Any university studentship can be used for EU/international students, but the difference between the home fee (~£5K p.a.) and international fee (~£24K p.a.) will have to be found from another source.
