Dear All,

Just a reminder that if you are teaching a course this semester please remember, as usual, to check for any disability requirements for your classes (Pegasus->Student Experience->Disabled Students) and put any mandated adjustments into place (or if not possible, arrange to discuss with the student in advance of the class starting).
Please note checking Pegasus can also apply to project supervision (and PDRA supervisors can't see this information).

It's also valuable as part of your PDA duties to know that while Departmental Disability Co-ordinators DDCs (myself, and temporarily Kirsten) are here to help ensure adjustments are communicated and implemented - the main source of help students should be directed to for any health issues is the Disability and Wellbeing Service<https://www.strath.ac.uk/professionalservices/disabilityandwellbeing/>.
This week's Micro-CPD (below) has a summary for how to help students' Mental Health and Well-being, including the help guide<https://www.strath.ac.uk/professionalservices/media/ps/sees/disabilityservice/Helping_Students_in_Distress_A_Guide_for_Staff.pdf>.

Best wishes and Happy New Year!
Aidan
