Dear Gabrielle

Since the launch of the Research Finance Forum last September, we've been working on developing our first training course which was launched at the beginning of the year to HASS Faculty colleagues.

We are now able to roll this out to all other Faculties and would like to provide you with some information on our inaugural training offering.

'Research Finance - Research Award Life-Cycle Training' will cover the processes that Research Finance follow during the post-award life-cycle of research and knowledge exchange awards such as project set up, management and maintenance, financial claims and audit and project completion.
The aim is to provide an overview of our activities and support the understanding of research funding and the financial administration required to reach the University's overarching objective of successful funds recovery.

As Department Manager I am hoping you would be the right person to consult on the colleagues from your department that you feel would benefit from this training.  If you can suggest any colleagues who you think would like to attend this training course, please let me know.

I hope to send out invitations as soon as possible with a view to gauging interest and securing some dates for training.
