Please see below, information from Estates about the asbestos works which will start on the 14th April on levels 3 and 4. More information should be given at presentation.

Some detail for anyone that can't get to the presentation (22nd March at 2pm in JA824)

The planned asbestos remedial works in 4 of the risers are Notifiable to the HSE, please see below the control measures that will be in place to ensure the works are carried out safely and under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and Best Guidance HSG 274

ASB 5 - 14 Notification Period
Risk assessments & Plan of Work
Decontamination Unit
Transit Routes
Waste Routes
Waste/Transit Route Procedures
Enclosures around the Work Areas
Air Handling Units
H Type Hoovers
PPE/RPE
Vision Panel/CCTV
Controlled working practises
4 Stage Clearance Prior to Decommissioning the Enclosure
Planned analytical attendance to carry out leak/reassurance and personnel's tests during the works & after decommissioning the enclosure.
Daily site visits during the works

All the above will be utilised to ensure the works are carried out safely and comply with the Asbestos Regulations and Best Guidance.
