[Academic] Attendance Monitoring Pilot Project Training Session [9/8/23]

Hello Academic Staff,

Are you interested in a quick and easy way to register attendance at your lectures?
Do you want to know which students came to your lab sessions?

In 2023, a small team will be running a pilot project to record student attendance via the existing MyPlace system. This system allows students to self-register via a QR code and password. By simply sharing that password with your students, you can collect data via MyPlace and export to Excel.
We are looking for volunteers to try using this system in their teaching sessions and decide what to do with the data.

Alistair Campbell from the Faculty Learning Technology Team has offered to come in to the department to train us on how to set MyPlace up and embed it into our lectures, labs and tutorials.
After setting up your attendance activity, we will discuss how best to use the data once we've collected it.

The training session will be:
Date: Wednesday 9th August
Time: 11 am - 12:30pm
Location: 8th floor PG Reading Room
