The Royal Society's University Research Fellowships scheme is open for applications with a deadline of the 7th of September.  There is no internal University selection process for this scheme, but applicants will require a letter of support from the Head of Department in addition to the application materials to be submitted.  I would be grateful if anyone planning to submit an application could let me know as soon as possible.
