We would be grateful if you would forward this email to STFC funded PhD students

Just a reminder that our final STFC Cancer Diagnosis Network+ workshop is now open for registration. Taking place in London on Friday 6th October. Please click here<https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/stfc-cdn-celebration-event-tickets-680753019607?aff=oddtdtcreator> to register now!!

This Workshop will be a chance to bring together academics, industrial and clinical partners together for cancer diagnosis networking and future collaboration opportunities. It is also a celebration of all the achievements and impact the Network has made over the last 4years! We are proud to have built up a wonderful multidisciplinary community and are very much looking forward to bringing everyone together! We have invited along potential follow on funders to promote relevant future calls.

We have thought provoking talks from our funded projects, as outlined below, as well as a poster session with prizes, which is open to PhD students and Postdoctoral Researchers (get in touch if interested), and no celebration is complete without cake!

  * Oakley Clark, University of Surrey - 'A methodology for breast density measurement using the HEXITEC pixellated spectroscopic technology'
  * Yangfan Jiang - Loughborough University 'Portable Hybrid Gamma-optical camera for quantitative 3D precision imaging in cancer diagnosis'
  * Prof Lin Wang, STFC Central Laser Facility, 'Low-cost, rapid super-resolution microscopy with ultraviolet surface excitation for quantitative cancer histopathology'
  * Prof Sofia Pascu, University of Bath, 'Biosensing and Near Infrared Imaging of New Biomarkers for the Detection of Prostate Cancer'
  * Dr Olie Pickford Scienti, The Institute of Cancer Research - 'Comparing the feasibility of emission and attenuation spectral x-ray imaging for detecting elemental composition changes associated with breast cancer diagnosis'
  * Prof Bogdan Matuszewski, University of Central Lancashire - 'Machine Learning System for Decision Support and Computational Automation of Early Cancer Detection and Categorisation in Colonoscopy'
  * Dr Ellis Rintoul, University of Liverpool, 'Suitability of sub-voxel position resolution algorithms in CZT for medical imaging applications'
  * Dr Ben Wynne, University of Edinburgh, 'Low activity Imaging for Better Oncology, LIMBO: How low can you go in Positron Emission Tomography?'

We also have a travel award call open to PhD students and ECR's who wish to attend. Please click here<https://drive.google.com/file/d/119P9HXslaYrM2_TZeIstzlZVYKR8u2JB/view> for me info.
