Message to all staff:

As part of the Department's commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), we will be applying to renew our Athena SWAN Bronze award this year. In order to inform our action plan, we are required to conduct a 'Culture Survey' of our staff, structured around mandatory questions provided in the AS guidelines for applications.

The survey is designed to highlight key issues which need to be addressed and to get a sense of how things are just now, what is good, and what could be better.

We have put this survey online, and would be very grateful if you would complete this. Completion is completely anonymous and you do not have to answer any questions if you prefer not to. There is a 'prefer not to say' option if you scroll along the columns of response options.

If you already completed the paper version that was handed round at the departmental committee meeting, you do not need to complete the survey again. Your responses have been input to the online form already.

We would welcome any suggestions you have for

Our emphasis going forward is to build an Athena Swan action plan which will make a meaningful, positive impact on EDI in the Department.
