[Academic] Fred Stern PhD prize (PhD vivas in 2023)

Dear All,
Nominations are sought for the Fred Stern Prize, the Department's prize for a PhD student who has demonstrated performance of exceptionally high quality.
*Candidates should have undertaken their PhD viva in the calendar year 2023*.
The nominator will normally be the supervisor and/or external examiner, but any member of staff can submit a nomination. Nominations will be assessed by the Head of Department and the Postgraduate Tutor, taking advice as appropriate.
A nomination should include a brief supporting statement which may include e.g.
- comments from the examiners' report (copies are held in the PGR examination system - ask Michaela if you want to see these)
- prizes/awards or other external recognition of quality associated with the thesis/project
- publications arising from the thesis/project
Nominations should be submitted to me by *Tuesday 28th May*.
