Dear Colleagues,

Please find a message from the University REF team below regarding information sessions on the next REF cycle.  Although we are early in the cycle, there are important actions that the University is undertaking to make sure we are well prepared for this process.  I would encourage colleagues to attend these sessions if possible.

We would like to highlight all-staff REF 2029 Information sessions that the Strathclyde REF team will run this winter. These sessions (as mentioned during the Principal's Address in October) will provide an overview of the expectations for REF 2029. They aim to help staff understand what REF is, how REF 2029 planning is progressing at Strathclyde, the role individuals play in REF preparations, and where staff can find support. No prior knowledge of REF is required, and the course is suitable for all staff involved in conducting, leading, or supporting research and innovation (e.g. Research, Academic, KE, teaching and Scholarship, Technical, and Professional Services job families).

The REF team will run 3 online sessions over the winter of 2024-5, on the following dates:

  *   05 December
  *   23 January
  *   25 February
