[Academic] Teaching Tomorrow

Dear All,

Due to the red weather warning for tomorrow it is likely that there will be travel disruption for both staff and students. For this reason I would suggest that tomorrow, if you are lecturing or giving tutorials you do this online if possible. Lab coordinators for scheduled teaching laboratories may wish to consider whether it is prudent to go ahead.

The university may issue a statement superseding this advice soon.

Subject: Severe Weather Warning

Good morning all

As you will be aware there is a severe weather warning currently in place for Strathclyde and surrounding areas. The warning has recently been increased to a red warning.

IRT met yesterday and was due to meet today at 13:00 however given the escalating situation an Incident Management Team meeting will take place at 11:45 to asses impact and University’s position. Fromal comms will follow the outcome of the IMT meeting. I just wanted to give you prior visibility to assist with decision making within Faculties. I know several areas are advising people to work from home if they can.
