[Cnqo] SUPASTA class

Dear Optics division members,

a quick reminder that the SUPA course on Semiclassical Theory of Atom-Light
Interaction (SUPASTA) runs on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 pm in the SUPA room.
I include here the Class Information sheet for your reference. If you think that this
class can be of interest for your PhD and PostGraduate students or for yourself
(in the case you are a PhD student), please enrol on the SUPA web page. It is
possible to take the class in a assessed (essay + presentation) or non-assessed
way.

The course is a good introduction to material that will be useful for the second
semester course PH959/PH555 'Experimental Quantum Optics' that will be
taught by Stefan, Elmar and Griff (see the slide included below).

I would like to take advantage of this message to herald the fact that the new
CNQO common room in 7.33 is now in operation with Nespresso coffee machine
and kettle. Because of the high density of people in the 7th floor offices, please
take advantage of the common room space in 7.33 for any kind of research
conversation.
