Dear All,
I would like to remind you of these new awards. Any one of you is invited and encouraged to nominate but if you are willing to coordinate your effort with others, who may want to nominate the same person, I would be happy if you would drop me a note with suggestions, so we together can make cases as strong as possible. I don't think this is about getting many nominations but rather getting strong ones.
Erling

Subject: [all-staff] Message from the Principal: The Strathclyde Medals
Dear Colleagues,
The ongoing enhancement of Strathclyde's reputation and performance is critically dependent on each staff member's skills, experience and support for our University's strategic development. These characteristics are typically accompanied by commitment to teamwork, innovation and the delivery of high-quality outcomes.
The achievements we have witnessed over recent years would not have been possible without the hard work and contributions of colleagues from across the University.
Our University values - People-Oriented, Bold, Innovative, Collaborative and Ambitious - reflect who we are, how we work, what we believe in and what we stand for. These values are playing a critical role in fostering an environment of continuous innovation that will allow the University to reach our next level of performance and achievement.
We benefit from dedicated and talented colleagues across all our communities: academic, research and teaching staff; administrative and professional services staff; technical staff; and our excellent operational staff providing a range of support services in Estates.
As we continue to work together to drive Strathclyde forward, I am writing to inform you about the Strathclyde Medal Awards in support of our commitment to our institutional Values.
The Awards are intended to recognise individual people or teams at Strathclyde who consistently demonstrate the University's values in their work and relationships. I would like to formally invite your nominations from across the Strathclyde community and, in particular, I look forward to presenting the Medals at our inaugural Awards ceremony in June.
Best wishes,
Jim
