Hi Everyone,
This is just a reminder that this morning, Dr. Robert Garisto, who is one of the main editors at PRL, will give a talk at 10:30am in JA 5.05. His title and abstract are:
=======
Title: Secrets of PRL
Location and Time: Tuesday, 22 September, 10:30am, JA5.05
Abstract:
I’ll give a view inside of Physical Review Letters (PRL). I'll describe how the review process works, how we pick our highlighted papers, and how things have changed since we reaffirmed standards two years ago—notably how we are asking more of authors, referees, and ourselves. I will also present some illuminating statistics and talk about journal metrics. If there is time, I will show some interesting and illustrative correspondence. And I will give you some advice on how to succeed with your PRL submissions.
=======
Robert has agreed to have an extended question session after the talk.
Everyone who is interested in attending is very welcome.
Best regards,
Andrew
