Dear all,

Can I please remind everyone that you MUST get travel insurance from the University for any business trip outside the UK. The insurance covers any medical expenses, but also lost baggage or any costs related to missed or delayed flights.

The insurance is free of charge and the procedure is very simple:

- Log onto PEGASUS: https://ben.mis.strath.ac.uk/login/

- Click on the tab "Finance" and then select "Travel Insurance Notification Form<https://ben.mis.strath.ac.uk/controlMenu/control/newApp?menuName=TRAVELINSURANCE>"

- After you have filled in the form, you will immediately get a confirmation email which you are advised to carry with you whist you travel

Also, for anyone travelling to Europe, it is advised to get the European Health Insurance Card, EHIC
https://www.ehic.org.uk/Internet/startApplication.do
Again this is free of charge and will cover any medical expenses during any trip within Europe.
