Dear All,
For those of you who have hoovered up, stood on or fished bits of Lego out of nappies, please see below for another use of Lego.

Hello all at Strathclyde University Physics department,
We thought you might enjoy taking a look at this YouTube clip and possibly consider sharing it within the science departments.
We created a parody to raise awareness of a PhD students design of a Lego Large Hadron Collider. It is a humorous Parody based on the Apple iPad commercial and features Dr. James Gillies from CERN (in the role of Jony Ive)
If enough people register their enthusiasm for the Physics students design by voting on the Lego page - Lego may consider producing the model as a purchasable set.
As fans of LEGO / all the work undertaken at the LHC / physics as a whole and a general enthusiasm for making science more accessible and fun for all - we would very much like to see this happen.
The links below will take you to the (4 minute) clip - which also contain links to the Lego voting page (within the video descriptions.)
CERN posted the YouTube link onto their own Facebook page two days ago and we have seen significant increase in traffic to both the Lego LHC Parody and in turn the LEGO voting page.
We hope you enjoy it - do feel free to share it with anyone else who you think might also enjoy it.
