Subject: RAS200 Townhall Meeting 25 November 2016
Dear all,
As you may already know, the Royal Astronomical Society (RAS) is celebrating its 200th year in 2020. To mark this occasion the RAS is offering grants of up to £100,000 to help form partnerships with charities and organisations to help promote astronomy and geophysics.
https://www.ras.org.uk/200
Through this grant scheme the RAS hopes to help develop new and exciting ways of getting more people from all backgrounds and ages interested in astronomy. The deadline for outline proposals is Friday 9 December 2016.
To help organisations find out more and possibly find some partners for their project the RAS are hosting a community meeting here at Glasgow Science Centre, 2-5pm on Friday 25 November 2016.
If you are considering applying for the grant (or would like to find out more about the opportunities of working with other partners) the RAS strongly recommends you attend this meeting as there will also be pointers about things to include in the application form. To sign up for this event please follow this link:

Refreshments will be provided, and car parking is free to attendees of the meeting. If you have any questions about the logistics of the day please get in touch.
Kind regards
Steve
