The annual Images of Research competition, which highlights innovative work at the University of Strathclyde through compelling images, is now open for entries.

Research staff and students are invited to make submissions which illustrate their research, the experiences which inspired them and the impact they are having on the world today. The theme of this year’s competition is ‘Global Relevance’ and entries will be judged in four categories: environment; health; society, and technology.

Up to 50 entries will be chosen for an exhibition showcased during Engage with Strathclyde 2013<http://www.strath.ac.uk/engage/>, a week-long programme celebrating and promoting the University’s partnership with businesses, public and third sector organisations. The exhibition will then embark on a roadshow at other venues in the West of Scotland, and form an online gallery.

All entries should be accompanied by a brief abstract of no more than 100 words. The winning entrant in each category will receive a prize of £150 and the overall winner, chosen by visitors to the exhibition, will be presented with a professionally framed copy of their print.
