*Please draw this to the attention of your eligible PhD students*
We are pleased to announce a call for the 'EPSRC Doctoral Prize 2014'
funded by the EPSRC Doctoral Training Grant. The prize funds a 1 year
salary for an outstanding researcher to develop their research
activities following completion of PhD studies. Candidates must have had
EPSRC funding for their PhD and must have completed their PhD Viva by
the start of the Doctoral Prize project. (approximately between May and
October 2104).
When assessing the applications, the Panel will be looking for evidence of:
·the excellence of the researcher (as demonstrated by the CV and references)
·the quality of the research proposed (with clear goals and an obvious
development from the PhD research activity, as explained in the case)
·the role of the proposed research in advancing the career prospects of
the applicant (as indicated by comments on career intentions, and by
proposals for further advancement through Fellowship applications etc.).
