Subject: SU2P Symposium 31st March and 1st April

Dear SU2P Colleague,

The agenda for the SU2P Symposium is now complete. We have an
exceptional line-up of speakers across all of the theme areas.

  * Prof Marty Fejer, Stanford is the symposium keynote:
    http://nlo.stanford.edu
  * Prof Gerard Mourou, Ecole Polytechnique is keynote for the solid
    state laser session:
    http://www.polytechnique.edu/home/about-ecole-polytechnique/major-projects/eli/extreme-light-infrastructure-eli-23834.kjsp

  * Dr Tom Baer of Stanford will be highlighting the US National
    Photonics Initiative
  * Prof Serdar Sariciftci, Johannes Kepler University Linz is keynote
in the Photonics for Energy session:

  * Prof Luis de Lecea, Stanford University is keynote on the Health
    Session: http://delecea.stanford.edu
  * Finally Prof Bert Hesselink is keynote for the ICT session:
    http://kaos.stanford.edu/hesselink.htm

These are of course supported in the sessions by both international, UK
and local speakers to make the Symposium probably the best we have ever had.

You can find the full agenda at:
http://www.su2p.com/Home/SU2PSymposium2014.aspx
And you must register on-line at:
http://onlineshop.strath.ac.uk/browse/extra_info.asp?compid=1&modid=2&deptid=153&catid=22&prodid=285&searchresults=1

If you need to stay overnight in Glasgow then I have noted that the
local Premier Inn has a “Spring Offer” on its rooms that is valid during
the days of the Symposium – book early as the rooms will go quickly.

Please register today and also please make sure all your colleagues and
researchers don’t miss out on the opportunity to hear these great
speakers in Scotland on the 31st March and 1st April.

Best regards

IAIN
