================================================================
The Scottish Parliament are keen to build links with the University
sector through a variety of mechanisms including placements for our
students and maybe also staff in due course.
This is an excellent opportunity for any socially or politically aware
PG student wishing to learn more about the workings of the Scottish
Parliament. Degree subject is immaterial but I see expertise in data
visualisation would be useful – I know that a similar placement
involving a PhD student from Napier produced a very nice impact case
study, so this has the makings of a serious KE opportunity for the right
student/research group.
Thanks!
John

*Subject:* Ask Academia - 3 month paid placement in SPICe
Hi all
We’ve got an exciting three month opportunity for a paid placement with
SPICe for a Masters or PhD student – see the attached advert
We are trialling the Ask Academia email to see if we can use this route
to recruit an enthusiastic, high calibre candidate.
Would this be of interest to students in your university?
If so, we’d like your help with targeting and advertising the
opportunity amongst suitable students. We’d also like your help in
restricting the field to *no more than two candidates per university*.
As you can see our deadline is *Friday 5**^th **June*
If you have any questions on the process or the job itself, please do
not hesitate to contact me.
Look forward to hearing from you
Allan
