LightTalks - Careers in Light

29th October, 13:00-16:00
Technology and Innovation Centre, Glasgow

On 29th October there will be a special "LightTalks" careers event being held as part of the International Year of Light. The emphasis will be on careers in photonics and light more broadly, but should appeal generally to all research post graduates considering their career choice. It will highlight the wide variety of career options available, as well as how people from other disciplines, such as biology, use light in their work.

There will be a keynote talk on the impact of photonics, followed by a short film and then short talks from a range of speakers in different roles within academia and industry, with an opportunity to ask questions. You are encouraged to attend to find out more about a variety of career paths.
