Dear Post Grad Students,
Are you researching an applied physical or medical science project that is translatable to healthcare?
This is a great opportunity, to present a poster or talk at a FREE translational medicine student conference, arranged by students for students on 31st May- 1st June 2016 in Edinburgh. TransMed is great for us early stage researchers to practice poster and presentation skills on a friendly multidisciplinary audience of; biologists, chemists, engineers and physicist working on disease prevention, therapy and diagnostics.
Dates: 31st May- 1st June 2016
Venue: John McIntyre Conference Centre, University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh.
Cost: Free
Abstracts.
Student abstracts should follow the template attached which can be sent to imaging.cdt at ed.ac.uk<mailto:imaging.cdt at ed.ac.uk> by the 15th April for consideration as a poster or presentation by the TransMed Student conference panel. Those selected for talks will be informed by 28thApril.
The abstract should have a maximum of 300 words excluding references and there is a graphical abstract section available. If you would rather be excluded from consideration for a presentation, please indicate this in your abstract submission email and submit by the deadline of 2nd May.
What are the conference plans & who will be there?
We are pleased to release a preliminary schedule for the conference which is attached above.
It's packed full of fun and learning; 3 keynote academic guest speakers who have start-up companies, icebreakers, student talks, student posters, prizes, workshops, social time in Edinburgh, drinks reception, dinner, and an energetic ceilidh!

Should I register?
