Subject: Biophotonics North - Registration closes on 19th October!
Dear all,
Could you please forward the following message to all the postgraduate students and postdocs of your departments?
Many thanks in advance,
Francisco
Dear all,
On behalf of the SPIE Student Chapter of the University of St Andrews, it is my pleasure to invite you to:
Biophotonics North 2016
(Registration ends on 19th October!)

This conference is targeted to postgraduate students and early-career researchers working in the wide and growing field of biophotonics. It is being organised by PhD students and postdocs with the main aim of facilitating discussions and interactions between the attendees, including world-leading keynote speakers, with support from SUPA, IOP, the University of St Andrews and the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE).
Biophotonics North will include talks, poster sessions and open Q&A sessions with the keynote speakers with the purpose of making it a very good opportunity for PhD students and early-career researchers to network with peers from the field, to share their knowledge and experience, to start building their own professional network and to learn about keynote speakers who are leaders in their field.
In order to offer an integral professional development opportunity, the conference will also include talks on topics related to common challenges for researchers outside the actual scientific research, such as gender equality or presentation skills.
Finally, something that cannot be missing in student-led conferences are multiple social events! So if you would like to take part in this unique professional development opportunity, meet peers, and enjoy the atmosphere of St Andrews, do not hesitate and join us!
If you would like to know further details about the conference, please visit:

or feel free to contact us at SPIE.St.Andrews at gmail.com<mailto:SPIE.St.Andrews at gmail.com>
Registration ends on 19th October!
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,
Francisco
