Here’s a short job description:

Requirement:

Experience with labview, especially for instrument control and/or collection of detector signals, OR experience with writing non-labview, dedicated GUI for the same purpose.

Description:

2 instruments are being developed in the Lau group in the Bionanotechnology initiative at TIC—a peptide synthesiser and a surface plasmon spectrometer. An assistant is sought to create Vis in labview to control these instruments, which are being assembled from off-the-shelf components (USB interfaces and precision motors). Depending on interest and availability, the personnel may work on one or both instruments, part-time or full time. Funding is available for salaries commensurate with experience. The nature (full time or part time) and length of employment will be agreed after discussion with the candidate.
