Hi all,
We are offering a 1-day course on “Engaging people with your research” at RBGE on 16th March. This workshop is suitable for PhD students wishing to get involved in public engagement. The course is funded by NERC and delivered by the Edinburgh Living Landscape partnership.
By the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  *   Understand benefits of public engagement on their research and the natural environment
  *   Be inspired by case studies and learn how to be interactive and creative
  *   Be aware of opportunities to get involved and how to start their own project.
  *   Gain confidence in communicating science and research to a non-specialist audience.
There are 20 fully funded places, travel and, if required, accommodation costs will be covered. To apply please return a brief 100 – 200 word statement on why you want to get involved in public engagement along with your name, contact details, university, topic and funding body to c.rolin.1 at research.gla.ac.uk<mailto:c.rolin.1 at research.gla.ac.uk> by the 23rd February.
