Dear students,


Registration is now open to attend the Conference of Astronomy and Physics Students 2017 (CAPS’17) to be held 27-30 June at University College London (UCL).

This conference, held annually at different universities across the UK (previous locations include Glasgow and Manchester) is a fantastic opportunity to network and socialise with other physics students from different institutions, explore career options and attend some exciting guest lectures. For four days, you will also hear early career research talks from fellow students and be taken on lab tours, with social activities every evening.


There are two ticket classes:


·         Accommodated (£70)

·         Non-accommodated (£40)


The latter are for attendees who already live in or have somewhere to stay in London, but covers every other aspect of the 4 day conference. Note: the conference ticket does not include travel from your university to UCL.


Highlights of the conference include tours of the National Physical Laboratory and UCL’s physics laboratories, guest speakers such as Sir Professor John Pendry, and evening events such as the boat party.
