Royal Academy of Engineering Early Career Research Fellowships

The Royal Academy of Engineering has announced its 2017 Early Career Research Fellowships call, open to outstanding early-career researchers who are about to finish their PhD or have been awarded their PhD in the last four years. The scheme provides funding for five years to encourage the best researchers to remain in the academic engineering sector.

Please see http://www.raeng.org.uk/grants-and-prizes/support-for-research/raeng-research-fellowship for full information.

There is an institutional limit of three applications maximum per university, so Strathclyde will be forming an internal review panel administered by RKES and including Vice Deans of Research to select the most promising applications. If you'd like to apply for a RAE ECR Fellowship, please send:

• A current CV

• An expression of interest maximum three pages, detailing your research idea, any potential collaborators and information on the potential impact of your proposal

• A brief confirmation of support from your HOD/S
to martin.walkinshaw at strath.ac.uk<mailto:martin.walkinshaw at strath.ac.uk> by 5pm on Friday 11 August. Feedback will be returned before Wednesday 23rd August to permit successful applicants two weeks to complete applications, with the RAE's deadline on the 6th September.
