Royal Society Funding Schemes: Information Session

Where: Court Senate (CL 2015)
When:  Wednesday 13th September 2017, 11am-12:30pm, followed by networking lunch.

The Royal Society will visit Strathclyde on the 13th September and will deliver a session providing an overview of the Royal Society's funding schemes, including; Early Career Fellowships, Senior Fellowships, Industry and Innovation Schemes, Research Capacity/Infrastructure, Collaboration and Travel, Newton Fund as well as information on several new schemes including APEX Awards and Global Challenge Grant Funds. A current Strathclyde Royal Society Fellow on what it's like being a Royal Society Fellow and the application process.
The session will conclude with a networking lunch where you will have the chance to meet with the Royal Society and discuss any application ideas directly with them.

This is a great opportunity for final-year PhD students, post-doc and early career researchers to find out more about the variety of funding schemes on offer from the Royal Society.

I would be most grateful if you could pass this on to colleagues in your Departments/Schools who may be interested in attending. This session will be most useful for final year PhD students and early career researchers, however senior fellowships and industry schemes will also be presented.
