Hi everyone,

we'd like to cordially invite you to (and, if you have received our previous email, remind you of) our SCOPE Career Evening tomorrow.

When?: TUESDAY, 24th October, 6:30pm - 8:30pm (to avoid confusion with the little typo in our posters: it's TUESDAY, 24th Oct)

Where?: room GH648, Graham Hills building (no worries, we will put up signs so you don't get lost in there forever)

What?: short talks by three exciting speakers on their career paths in academia, outreach and project management including advice for us not quite as far along the career ladder, followed by a drinks reception for further questions and discussion

More infos about our speakers this year:

- Richard Mosses has worked in a number of technology startups, worked for SUPA to promote Scottish physics to industry, and helped set up Technology Scotland. He is now a programme manager for the Sonopill project.

- Ralf Bauer received his PhD on MEMS enabled laser systems from the University of Strathclyde in 2013. After a 3 years post-doc, he is now a lecturer and holds a RAEng fellowship to develop miniaturised biomedical imaging systems.

- Kirsty Ross completed her PhD and two post-docs in biology at the universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde. She is now the outreach officer for Strathclyde's bionanotech group and for the EPSRC/MRC centre OPTIMA.
