Doctoral School Multidisciplinary Symposium
Wednesday 19 June
Level 3 John Anderson Building
The Doctoral School Multidisciplinary Symposium (DSMS) is a one day conference organised by research students for research students. There will be 36 presentations split across 3 parallel sessions running throughout the day grouped by the institutional research themes: Health and Wellbeing, Ocean, Air and Space, Advanced Manufacturing and Materials, Energy, Society and Policy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and Measurement Science and Enabling Technologies (programme coming soon).
We are also hosting the institutional final of the Three Minute Thesis competition - competitors must convey the relevance and importance of their research to a general audience using 1 powerpoint slide and no other visual aids and they have 180 seconds to do it - it's not as easy as it sounds!
